Our Approach
Integrated Care
Sometimes emotional health, neurodivergence, sensory experiences, relationships, diet, and everyday functioning overlap in ways that can't be fully understood from a single perspective.
At Orenda, we believe care should reflect the whole person.
Our multidisciplinary approach brings together counseling and occupational therapy as well as nutrition and mental health counseling, when appropriate, allowing different areas of expertise to work alongside one another toward the goals that matter most to you or your family.
You shouldn't have to connect all the dots yourself.
Finding the right kind of support can be overwhelming—especially when you aren't sure whether you need a therapist, an occupational therapist, or something in between.
That's where our team can help.
We'll listen to what you're experiencing, help identify the areas where support may be useful, and connect you with the provider or combination of services that best fits your needs.
Different disciplines. Shared goals. One whole person.
Ready to explore your options?
Not sure where to start? That's okay. You don't have to know which provider or service you need before reaching out. We'll help you find the right place to begin.

Trauma Informed
It's not just what we do. It's how we do therapy.
Trauma-informed care isn't a specific therapy technique. It's an approach to understanding people and creating a therapeutic environment that prioritizes safety, choice, trust, collaboration, and empowerment.
At Orenda, our therapists recognize that past experiences can influence how people experience their emotions, bodies, relationships, and environment.
"Trauma-informed" can sound like a clinical buzzword. So what does it actually mean when you sit down with one of our therapists?
We provide a nurturing environment, including snacks, drinks and blankets.
We give you choices; from where you want to sit in the office to when you want to stop a narrative or discussion.
We explain our methods and allow space for questions.

Neurodiversity Affirming
At Orenda, we believe neurodivergent people deserve care that recognizes their strengths, respects their differences, and supports the way their brains and bodies work—not care focused on making them appear more "typical."
Our neurodiversity-affirming approach supports autistic and ADHD children, teens, adults, and families with an emphasis on understanding, self-acceptance, regulation, relationships, and meaningful everyday functioning.
You are the expert on your experience.
Our role isn't to tell you who you should be.
Our role is to listen, collaborate, offer clinical expertise, and help you identify what support would actually be useful.
We want clients to leave care with greater understanding of themselves—not greater pressure to change who they are.

Family + Community Care
Supporting the people and environments that surround you.
Healing and growth don't happen in isolation. We support families, couples, and caregivers while also helping clients identify resources and connections that can support their wellbeing beyond the therapy room. We also believe in collaborating with other providers, to identify alternative services for clients.
