Indianapolis and the surrounding areas have some great locations to meet for community-based therapy. Many clients find the community-based option closer to them in location, less intimidating and a more familiar environment. Here are our top five locations to hold our community-based sessions!
Haverstick is flexible co-working space located on the North Side of Indianapolis. It is furnished with stylish and comfortable furniture and even has a coffee shop located inside (Try a rose oat-milk latte when you stop in). The staff here are also super sweet and remember you by name :) Haverstick also has private meeting rooms, which are reservable, day of - best part is, the first hour is always free! Perfect for our hour long sessions.
Indianapolis has some lovely libraries with functional space and great views. Our personal favorites are the Downtown and Michigan Road locations. Many libraries have study rooms available for reservation - not every location has one and the sizes of the room vary at each location, but we have thoroughly enjoyed using our public libraries. The study rooms are free to reserve for up to two hours. You can make a reservation online, in person or by calling the specific branch.
Indianapolis Public and Indiana State Parks
Indianapolis has some beautiful parks which are great for walk-and-talk or sit-outside-in-the-sun and talk sessions. We love being able to offer outdoor sessions as a triple whammy (therapy, Vitamin D and Exercise).
MOTW has to be one of our favorite coffee and pastries shops in town; not just because their space is adorable, but their staff are so welcoming and friendly and we love their involvement in the community. MOTW has plenty of space to meet within their coffee shop, but also some semi-private meeting space available, first-come basis.
North Mass Boulder is a bouldering gym. Yoga studio. Fitness studio. But did we also mention: weights, cross-training, instruction, food & drinks, co-working space and community. North Mass Boulder has a large conference room and small meeting rooms which are available for day of - in person reservation. These rooms are free for the first 90 minutes! Feeling like you need some movement in your therapy session? Therapist, Charlotte Cox, will happily utilize all this space has to offer with you during your session.
