Occupational Therapist
“Occupational therapy practitioners ask, “What matters to you?” not,
“What’s the matter with you?”
-- Virginia “Ginny” Stoffel, PhD, OT, BCMH, FAOTA
I am a licensed clinical occupational therapist who has a passion for working within the community-based setting. I strive to give individuals the tools that they need to be successful. I work with individuals across the life-span, utilizing occupational therapy to meet individuals where they are, to increase their levels of independence and confidence in their day to day life. I emphasize utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
I assist individuals in all areas of occupation including activities of daily living (ADLs), independent activities of daily living (IADLs), education, leisure, play, work, social participation, and sleep. I enjoy working within the pediatric population to promote sensory regulation, emotional regulation, and advocacy for their needs. I enjoy working within the family dynamic to strengthen caregiver/child relationships and to promote co-regulation. I also love working with diverse individuals and enjoy seeing people grow.
